Tired of scraping that last bit of peanut butter from the jar? Does your hand hit the rim of the mayo jar? Ever pick up a knife, not realizing it had hit the rim of the mustard jar therefore getting mustard on your hand? Then your need Squeezit!

Squeezit is the latest in food dispensing marvels that will save time and mess in your life. Squeezit comes with 24 clear empty caulk tubes, 24 caulk caps, a caulk gun, and a handy 24-tube rack to place in your refrigerator. When you bring home a tubable condiment or other food from the store simply spoon it into a Squeezit caulk tube and insert the end cap. Place tube in your refrigerator and it's ready for your next meal. Act now and receive a lifetime supply of blackened swordfish paste.

Well, duh. Cookie (or pastry) guns are long Baked, just use one of those. Or an icing cone.
DrCurry, Jun 10 2003

The cookie gun's nice, but can you imagine trying to put more than a few of these in the fridge? They won't stack and they'd leak. Same for a pastry gun. I want a whole food dispensing solution.

By the way, DrC - you are one fast HB shooter.
Worldgineer, Jun 10 2003

Um.... wouldn't it be simpler just to buy the food item in a tube?
waugsqueke, Jun 10 2003

Straight from the hip. So get a bunch of mustard dispensers, please.
DrCurry, Jun 10 2003

[DrC] No, then you're left with a lot of wasted food. Try and get the last bit of peanut butter out of that.

[waugs] Sure, except for all of the foods that don't come in tubes. Plus see my comment to DrC.
Worldgineer, Jun 10 2003

Except that peanut butter does. And mustard. And mayo. And chips (crisps).
DrCurry, Jun 10 2003

And anchovy paste. But not Marmite.
bungston, Jun 10 2003

Ok, how about Sierra Nevada Pale Ale & Honey Spice Mustard? How about fat free mayonnaise in a tube? Blackened swordfish paste? Or any of these things in a caulk gun?

The problem with buying tubed products, besides the fact that they aren't in caulk guns, is the limited selection available. With the Squeezit system, you can put anything in a tube.
Worldgineer, Jun 10 2003

[DrC]'s link: not large enough, tough to fill, no handy refrigerator rack, not in a caulk gun. Plus, I'd be afraid of that end clip coming off.

       <added later>(responding to a now-deleted comment about fast food systems that are similar)</added later>

Exactly what I'm going for. Except clear, smaller, refrigerated, with a rack, and marketed for home use.

This idea is built mainly off of quarterbaker's comment //I think the caulk gun delivery method is great. Wish lots of consumer-level foods were available that way.// in the squeezable peanut butter idea. I thought "why not?" and had no answer.
Worldgineer, Jun 10 2003

Add a food processor combined with a meat grinder and a convenient spout to fill those dispenser tubes. Now you can make anything squeezable. With a strong magnet at the spout you can even throw in whole cans, no more hunting for the can opener. Glass won't matter if the grinder grinds it fine enough.

How about the food equivalent of the soda dispensing gun? Just push the button for, say, a cheesburger with fries, and spray it out on the plate. No more waiting to pick up your order. Get it NOW.

Cartoon Network Adult Swim beat you to it. An episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" had Meatwad eating caulk out of a caulk gun, thinking it was cheez-whiz or PB or something like that. Well, it was still caulk, but Meatwad had the idea going.

You guys have never worked at Taco Bell, have you?

Well, thankfully, neither have I, but they do in fact use standard-issue caulk guns for sour cream, guacamole, and probably the meat while they're at it.

Baked. Well...put together on a food service assembly line, at least.
darksasami, Oct 15 2003

Yes, someone mentioned that before but then deleted their comment. I shall repeat my response.

Exactly what I'm going for. Except clear, smaller, refrigerated, with a rack, and marketed for home use.

Grrr. Someone needs to step to the plate and address the "middle squeeze" vs. "rolled end" controversy of tube flatteners. Oh ... someone here did. Yay!

I'm wondering if everyone on the Euro side of the pond knows what the phrase "I've got a caulk full of something here" sounds like when spoken (to us nerds on the North American side). Great product names can be the start of great products!

You can put quite a few things into caulk guns. Think of a dry spice, then add some compatible liquid to it, and you can make a paste. You might have to do some experimenting to get the right recipe for it not to solidify right away, or not to go bad quickly, and so on. But eventually, someone would figure out a good mix.

I dunno. Is "Squibb's™" registered as a condiment brand name? I mean, other than Bristol-Myers Squibb?

What do you mean the roof is leaking? How can the roof be leaking again? I just caulked it yesterday. Yeah, the tube from the kitchen. Its filled with WHAT ?!
