I, like most users, fear cookies, rationally or otherwise. We know that most of them are necessary to access certain sites, etc. but there is always a twinge of dread that we are exposing our private, valuable information to some unscrupulous bastard data-mining company.
Wouldn't it be so much
easier to convince people to accept them if every now and then someone picked up a cool million or so for accepting a cookie. I'd probably be prepared to cop a small subscription fee if it meant the agency running the program vetted participants.
