sewage nutrient missile into deep ocean

{neuron spark} I live in New Zealand and some of the beaches are tested for negative volumes of bacterial cultures . This is probably due to outfalls and stormwater contamination . I have always thought nature evolved the faecal material to return back into the land but man knows the most economical best . If humanity are going to have outflows into the sea , i propose raising the energy and complexity level by having a specialized tank of the processed sewage that can be released while falling into deep ocean . The tank or missile would descend slowly mixing the contained solution with ocean strata . detail: Holes with seals might be designed to break at varying pressures . The container shape could also be designed for future ocean life growth .

{neurons going a bit wider} Fishing ships or any ocean going ship could be employed as releasers . The construction material would be wasteful if new material was used so recycled scrap giving a variety of shapes is probably the way to go . Trainee welders , artists or anyone who wants a crash course getting to grips with welding and metal work could be utilized . Even vincevincevince's homeless may want to have a go . Ideally rock would be the perfect material but were still playing with the learning clay , metal or is it plastic .

{reigning neuron feeds} This idea would probably be OK for a few jimmy hoffas but to scale up to volumes necessary for mass production , a negatively buoyant biodegradable bladder would be needed . Logistics - transport to ship - attachment to ship for release . MFD not really feasible to mass economic standards . Small scale might be Ok . Tiny scale ???

{superego: last word to self} Why expend energy to throw away ? rich biological and chemical resource . The devils in the sorting .

Additionally, the emos and snot-nosed feral children that swarm Wellington could be gathered up and included in these nutrient missiles.

So, this is a very elaborate way of flinging poo out to sea? {id} oo-oo-oo-ooook!

What's wrong with a long pipe? or several stopping at different depths.

I'm just chuffed at getting a mention! [+]

       /negative volumes/

If you have any poo, fling it now.

[mylodon] Burial at sea missiles . What a great idea . [marklar] pipes are too simple and don't allow complex mixing . Maybe curly holely ones might be ok . [texticle] only one mathematical meaning of negative then .

employ the homeless to weld a giant negatively buoyant poo tank. . . why not?

A poo bomb might be useful in military conflict.
Spacecoyote, Nov 27 2007

Maybe I should not have used the word missile , instead used finned variable directional release vector . Maybe use old ships , tugged out to the beyond .

Still a fish for littering the sea floor though.
