these delicious dual layered deviations that everyone secretly loves deserve their own bag. imagine never having to dig through the bag to find one, never having to suffer through scores of single layered chips just to find that delightful double crunch. when sharing a bag there would be no unspoken competition and many relationships would be relieved of unnecessary tension. the chip company could charge the same price as normal chips for a bag half the size because they would still be providing the same amount of chip with double the satisfaction. of course research would have to be done to determine how exactly the chips become folded, and then the process would have to be carefully duplicated on a large scale in order to mass produce these mini-marvels, but it would be well worth it.

I don't think it would take a research grant to find this out. The potato cuts are washed in water, and sometimes get so soft that they fold over before they are deep fried. Now you have to invent a machine that folds each in half before its fried. Thicker cuts and 'kettle cooking' are also apt to curl more.
