Junk Mail Rejection Service

A Junk Mail Rejection Service would provide me a supply of pre-addressed boxes, into which I would put any mail I consider junk. When the box is full, I'd send it to them. For a small membership fee and a legal contract saying that can do this, they'd contact each sender on my behalf and tell them to bug off and stop mailing me. Probably senders would eventually say, "Oh, that service is calling again. Can't we give them a way to unsubscribe in bulk to save us trouble?" and the business would get more efficient.

This is superior to other ideas here for addressing junk mail because *I'm* deciding what is or isn't junk, and I will still get the mail to see whether things are improving or not.

Hi[marmoset]. Good idea. Welcome to the hb. You will be receiving your hb welcome blurb in the mail soon.

Well there was... all that's left are the von Neumanns which are busy recycling each other.

Couple this service with a email to realmail service, where you get your emails to a real mailbox. Then you don't have to wait for the slow internet, and for your constantly breaking down laptop. You get to actually dump the mail into the junk box.

Another (cardboard) mailbox called "recycle bin" would be posted every now and then, and the service could delete the emails from your inbox, and recycle the whole thing when done.
