mouse droppings

a clockwork mouse that cleans itself

a mouse that comes with a little key which when inserted into the appropriate aperture on the underbelly of your mouse and given a few twists will wind up a cleaning mechanism inside which sweeps both mouse ball and little rollers.

when the mechanism has finished running, remove key. the mouse should then be tapped pretty heartily onto a sheet of newspaper and all the dust and increptitude of the week will be deposited onto the paper which can be disposed of in the normal way.

an optional extra would be a button which sprays a cirtrus air freshener/cleaner onto the mouse pad making this a clockwork orange mouse but that is another story….

you are rather encouraging me to *do* spectacles for mice.

BinaryCookies, I notice naughty retailers advertising 'optical' mice that are acually regular mice (which admittedly have an interrupted optical sensor..) Danger words: "Optical sensor mouse".

Funny how every anno here is off-topic...

       Including that last one.

Why not use the movement of the mouse to scrape the grimy and fluffy bits off the rollers and compact it into a little dropping?

Yeh, we all know that optical mice are better but I just like the extra character that this would give a computer mouse.
