Ever go to a shoe store and are unable to decide what shoes to buy because you cant picture what clothes they might go with? Shoe stores should supply pant legs in various colours and styles from jeans, to khakis, to plaids, all in several different colours that you could slip on and ascertain whether the shoes you are considering buying would go with much of your wardrobe without you ever having to use your visualization skills.

       bob, you need a girlfriend

po, Jun 29 2002

Are you flirting with me po?

Girls in Vancouver either have no taste or aparently arent in my league. I'm actually quite stylish.. I just can't visualize.

Go with the khakis, bob. Hitler wore Khakis. He was quite a succesful guy. Hm. That makes me wonder, would Hitler have become Chancellor if he wore jeans?

no, offering consumer advice. [sctld] who you flirting with?

po, Jun 29 2002

I'm flirting with death, and dicing with it as well. Two birds, one stone.

[ sctld ], Jun 29 2002

No, my idea is to aid in finding the right shoes, not the right pants. But I'm mainly just writing this annotation to jump my idea back to the top of the list again.

Go for black leather brogues. They have nice patterns on them and come to a lovely polished finish, and they go great with whatever trousers you wear.

bobo, you anno my old ones and I will anno yours - no-one will notice!

po, Jun 29 2002

Navy tropical weight blazer, blue / white shirt with French cuffs, khaki trousers, fishbone socks, croissant boxers, meltonian tie, shoes and belt. Can't go wrong.

thumbwax, Jun 29 2002

Thats alright, I can do my own po, I'm shameless. I'll still anno some of yours though.

       You said it Bob

No need to have different pants. A cheap little colour camera on a PC and a copy of Paintbrush or similar.

Wear white trousers. Photograph yourself with the camera. Use paintbrush "area fill" to change the colour of the trousers to see what you look like.

sctld, Hitler wore khakis? When, pray tell?

DrBob, Jul 01 2002

It was part of his Bavarian military uniform.

I have a digital camera thats just collecting dust an was actually considering taking pictures of all my pants and just reviewing them off the camera when I'm in a shoe store, but i am afraid that might be a little too eccentric.

bobofthefuture, Jul 01 2002

Shoe store gives you vivid blue pants to wear, and stands you in front of a chromakey screen. Watch the monitor to see yourself modeling various trouser styles.

waugsqueke, Jul 02 2002

Oh that sounds nice Waugs, id like that on the best i think. But of course shoe stores would probably never do any of this. Who would buy certain pairsor styles of shoes if they knew how impractical they really are.
