For converting toilet paper into tissues
Sometimes when we run out of tissues we use toilet paper to blow our nose. This isn’t widely talked about, yet I think we all must have done it at some time. Instead of carrying a roll of toilet paper around with you, it can be slipped into the attractive
*roll box*.
This is a square box made from plastic or light wood. It has a spindle in the center that attaches like the regular toilet paper holder with a springy thingy inside. There is a removable lid with a slit in the center for feeding the paper through. Now, it can be used like pop-up tissues, only much less expensive.
This woman could seriously use your product.

How do you get the TP wrapped around what I assume is a much smaller spindle? Or is it just a box to hold the center of a standard roll? |

Variation: It could it be like a bathroom
towel roller with fabric instead of tissue, so
that it goes back inside, to be washed out
when you get home, then reused. + |

[Mister] designed for standard roll. Sorry I didn't have time for a more detailed description. Just slip in a regular roll and it's portable. Good for camping, too. |

Does it break the sheets into individual tissues leaving the next one protruding? |

[xandram], this is quite common in Thailand. I have even seen a face where the tissue comes out of one nostril. I'm not sure I can find a pic, but I'll try.
By the way, they remove the cardboard tube from inside the roll, and start feeding from the center. |

Well, I thought it was a good idea...I'd love to see one. I can't find anything that is portable. How do they remove the cardboard tube?

No spindle required if you take the cardboard tube out and unwind it from the middle. (That's the way many rolls in a box work.) Oh, dang, Ling said that. |

Well [DrCurry]'s link is close, except that fabric would get wet if you took it camping. Thank you, though, as I have never been to Thailand. |

...but it would be protected if it was coated with shellac or polyurethane or even paint for that matter. Painted pretty or manly.

oh yeah, not *exactly* what I was calling for, as the longer I thought about it, I think taking out the center and dispensing it that way causes more tangles and problems. We like the good old roll. |

[xandram], yeah I know, but it was the only one I could find. They normally have plastic ones that sit on table tops. A fabric cover goes over the plastic to make it look better. The elastic band sewn into the fabric wraps around the bottom, and holds a plastic end cap in place on the bottom on the cheap versions, which in turn holds the roll in. Feeding sideways from the roll puts a twist on the tissue whether from the outside or the inside. From the inside means no rubbing on the case. How to remove the cardboard tube? I've never seen anyone else do it - and there may be a trick to it - but I have always made it into a sort of crescent first by kinking one part in. |

Despite the fact that TP gives you a sore nose during a prolonged cold, we still all use it so this must be a good idea. |
