Credit cards with double sided magnetic strip to foil those infuriating card reading machines where the credit card is invariably swiped the wrong way round in the first instance as the shop assistant looks on and gloats from behind a deadpan face.

I wish New Zealand would wake it's ideas up and adopt the Hong Kong Octopus card system and make us all happy.

Sometimes I try to buy things from places that won't accept my magical plastical card-thingy. Then I get all angry and confused because I don't know what to do. I wish there was a way I could just carry my money around with me. That seems a lot less complicated.

Dun' matter, they've rigged it now so even if that gets fixed, you still have to negotiate the "stripe or chip" bit of the machine, one of which works, the other doesn't and the cashier won't tell you. I think the message which displays on most machines: "SWIPE CUSTOMER'S CARD", sums it up.
