Beanbag Carriage   (+2, -3)  [vote for, against]
Open plan sprawl carriage for long journeys

Sick of sitting bolt upright in your seat for that 12 hour intercity train trip? Join us in the Beanbag Carriage, and sprawl to your heart's (and lower back's) content.

Simply an open plan carriage with a supply of beanbags, cushions, throw pillows, rugs, mats, mattresses, ottomans, comforters, blankies and stuffed toys. Place your luggage in the overhead rack and relax. Ticketing is around the same as coach/economy, but by negotiating with your neighbour, you can arrange yourself in whatever shape suits you.

Now we can all get some sleep.

And hookahs!

This would only remain an enjoyable experience as long as the trains don't get overcrowded. And in this country (UK) they always are, so I can't see this working here, unless you charge £500+ for a ticket.

I'd rather be overcrowded in a beanbag carriage than in a normal one.

I once went coast to coast in the USA in a bus called The Greyrabbit. It had no seats, only mattresses, and blankets. We tried everything once, and the things we liked more than once. - and we had hookahs ! The Magic Bus was similar.....sighs
