Is the fruit on your bonsai cherry tree ripe for picking? Does the moss in your dwarf landscape need cutting? These and many other tasks are easily accomplished with this comprehensive range of bonsai garden machinery.
Revel as you guide the bantam backhoe digging up dying micro-shrubs and shifting pebble boulders. Feel the excitement as you direct the two-inch tractor mowing in the shallow pot. There is a full line of remote-controlled, miniature machinery for sawing, watering, paring, picking and even stump removal, all powered by rechargeable batteries.-- FarmerJohn, Aug 16 2002 Fun. I was kind of expecting some kind of bonsai woody pun... never mind.
Just wondering: have you tried scissors?-- polartomato, Aug 16 2002 Nice. Sadly, I am in need of a tiny chainsaw, as my bonasi tree (the second one I have been bought) has died - or rather, I suspect my lack of skill caused its demise. I shall no doubt also need some 250 millligram sticks of Gellomex to remove the stump .... tragic, really.
Croissant (a very tiny one).-- 8th of 7, Aug 16 2002 I think I'd rather have a bonsai gardener, a 4 inch tall guy who takes great care to ensure that everything is done right. Every so often, you can chuck in a croissant-crumbette to ensure he doesn't starve to death.-- PeterSilly, Aug 16 2002 Excellent, a neighbour with a mower that is so high pitched (beccause small) that I can't hear it! Croissant!-- pfperry, Aug 16 2002 Maintaining bonsai is hard work.
8/7, you never did tell me about the tree you lost. Most deceased bonsai perish for lack of water. The other big mistake is to leave them indoors too long.
Farmer, the moss doesn't need cutting, but I rather like the idea. Many of the tools used are adapted for small trees and I think you'll find, if you take the time to study bonsai at all, that this idea is bad. That's because it's an artform. Being Japanese, much of the artform is traditional, almost ritualised.
But, croissant for the images.-- UnaBubba, Aug 16 2002 So, kinda like tonka trucks that really work? Have some pastry, farmer!-- Mr Burns, Aug 16 2002 Hey [UB] - that's why you need the 4 inch tall gardener!-- PeterSilly, Aug 16 2002 I already have an amazing 11 inch pianist.-- UnaBubba, Nov 06 2004 God! It took you over two years to come up with that rhetort! ;-)-- contracts, Nov 06 2004 Have a bonsai croissant!-- DesertFox, Nov 06 2004 Rhetort?
