Bungee Coffee Plunger   (+8)  [vote for, against]
Gravity-Powered Coffee Press

Throw the cylinder over the edge of a convenient precipice. When it reaches the end of the cord, the plunger pulls the grounds through the hot water. Retrieve the cylinder. Open. Pour. Enjoy.

sounds like almost as fun to watch as my mom's old perculator. I recently found it in her kitchen going over her stuff. When I was a kid I spent whole meals fascinated with it.

I hope the packaging includes a precipice, for times when there isn't one handy.

For those situations where no precipice is handy, you could perhaps repurpose as a swingball / tetherball cafetière.

Bullroarer!

^ Sound gravity, that. Plus the tether can always be released for that extra kick.
