Destructive Cooking Show   (0)  [vote for, against]
Also, audience torture

Produce a TV show in which the chef (i volunteer) produces some elaborate item such as a wedding cake, marzipan sculpture, or any "most expensive thing on the menu stuffed with the second most expensive" sort of dish. After painstakingly perfecting the presentation of the item, the selfsame chef (or evil assistant ala El Chakall from Sabado Gigante) smashes, smushes, burns, breaks, folds, spindles, and mutilates it before an appalled audience. Roll credits. (theme music: 1812 overture)

Don't waste food. Treat books with absolute respect. Treat possessions, especially the property of others, carefully.....ah, why am I wasting my breath...

Do it on 'Jerry' with some trailer park misogynist no-hoper as the mashee.

Knock yourself out.

it's a comment on the value of television cooking shows. you waste time, we waste food. naked lunch of destruction.
-- mongmaster, May 25 2004

I would "kiss the chef" if the destructed item was the host of the (above mentioned) "Sabado Gigante" show. You wanted audience torture? We have enough with that.

[Pericles] - eeh?

Pericles is right. Don Francisco is a pig.

[scout] - do you honestly believe your daughter shares your preference?
-- xrayTed, May 27 2004

I think this has already been semi-baked, only in a different genre: cars. Monster Garage is all about a crew that works hard to build some type of crazy cross-bred automobile only to have 'some trailer park misogynist no-hoper' (aka Jesse James) attempt to mash it up in the final segment.

Sponge Bob rules.
-- xrayTed, May 27 2004

I voted for this one. ++ Excellent. Spread the cheer. Delightful. Three thumbs up. Bravo and so forth...

[scout], if you've ever watched a full episode of Sponge Bob, you would know that the main character is, although completely hapless, also kind, honest, and generous. In contrast, the show in question is destructive, wasteful, violent, and appalling. What would you rather your daughter watch?

I'm not saying that this show would not be entertaining; destruction and violence always makes good tv - just don't dis Bob.

//small minds//

enforce a viewing schedule on their children which reflects their preferences, not the child's.

There, I’ve totally masticated my food. I’ve got it on tape—pretty shocking, but I think it’s what you’re looking for.
-- ldischler, May 31 2004

[xrayTed] violence is perpetrated against people, not food; therefore, this is not a violent program.
-- mongmaster, May 31 2004

ummmmmmmmm.....am I to guess there was a food related incident you experienced as a child? I think as far as destruction of food items go that old comedian Gallagher has the market cornered
