In researching this site to see if this is redundant, I am struck by how many ideas relate to the lowly computer mouse!
I have recently migrated to a laptop computer for home use, and have it set to "sleep" to conserve energy when not in use.
I sometimes find it hard to locate the mouse as the computer "wakes up" from sleep, and find myself shaking the mouse (optical) to try to see the small cursor on the LCD screen.
Why not have the mouse pointer icon displayed initially large for identification, then smaller as it is used until normal sized?-- csea, Nov 03 2004 I tap the <CTRL> key, and Windows helpfully homes in on the cursor with a series of circles.-- angel, Nov 03 2004 What windows you got? Mine doesn't do that.-- zen_tom, Nov 03 2004 XP Pro.-- angel, Nov 03 2004 I must be doing something wrong, I can't do that angel.-- po, Nov 03 2004 Select [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Mouse]. On the 'Pointer Options' tab, there's a check box for 'Show location of pointer when I press the Control key'-- angel, Nov 03 2004 oh how sweet! ta.-- po, Nov 03 2004 Cool! I've now got puddles all over my screen when I hit CTRL.-- skinflaps, Nov 03 2004 Nice! Thanks for the info.-- csea, Nov 03 2004 i agree with angel-- sridhar236, Jun 30 2006 Bun ! But mainly because of [angel]'s top tip ! :-)-- monojohnny, Jun 30 2006 halfbakery
