Flip Mask   (+2)  [vote for, against]
Some of the inexpensive filter-masks have flap valves,

The advantage of which is easier breathing half the time : inhalations are through the filter medium, exhalations through the valve.

The Flip Mask is designed and manufactured to be worn the normal way if you're well and don't want to get sick, or inside-out if you're ill and don't want to spread it around.

Appropriate decaling is applied. Optional sound effects.

The only problem I see with this is that you don't know if you've got Covid-19 because testing isn't available until you show symptoms, and by the time you get tested you've already had it and been spreading it around for quite some time.

OUT, OUT ! BEGONE FROM THIS PLACE ! SPEAK NOT THIS BLASPHEMY OF COMMON SENSE !

You still here, [21] ?

GUARDS ! GUARDS ! SEIZE HIM (observing a 2m social distancing regime, of course. And wash your hands afterwards). BRING FORTH OIL, KINDLING AND A STAKE ! BURN THE UNBELIEVER ! KILL THEM ALL, SPARE NOT EVEN THE CHILDREN, LEST THE EVIL PERSIST !

Ahem.

You're not helping, you know. But your artistic credentials are unbesmirched ....

(Mark Twain wrote, “Honesty: The best of all the lost arts.”. But lately, another of his aphorisms seems to have gained traction: "The truth is a very precious commodity - one should be economical with it".)

Well, keep your head down, or the Truth Police will be round to drag you off to an isolation camp ...

I shall man the steampunk catling gun on the parapet in eager anticipation.

You've got to ask yourself a question, officer: "do I feel cuddly?" Well, do ya punk?

If they are expensive then you want them to have a good shape. May be the valve could clip in with the seal on the right side.

... which is why surgeons wear them; to keep the bugs in, not out.

In HAZMAT environments, respirators - including eye protection- are needed, but more important (and very rarely shown) is the external decontamination procedure prior to removal. Correct protocols for safe respirator use are widely available.
