Culture: Movie Theatre: Food
Movie-linked designed food   (+5)  [vote for, against]
What you eat is what you get.

For each movie, design a special dish to be eaten in the theatre while watching the film, linked to both the storyline and the performers.

A movie about desert island castaways would be accompanied by ship's biscuits, fish, mango, papaya and coconut.

John Wayne films would get something hard-baked and tough; Bogart films would get a hard-boiled and gritty dish. Chick flicks would require someting sickly-sweet and fluffy.

Anything with Leonardo di Caprio will probably be fairly cheesy ...

Can it come with booze? rum, whiskey, and wine respectively.

edit: The only kind of movie I can think of without an obvious food are sci-fi or cartoon flicks (cars?), and even then space-ish, futuristic, or unusual menus can be imagined.

Beans on toast for Gone With the Wind?

Captain Corelli's Mandarin?

Lawrence of Arrabiata?

Lord of the Onion Rings?

The Good, the Bad and the Ugli?

The King's Peach?
