Opposite Day is the sort of event that should be a trap sprung unexpected during some sort of conversational battle (e.g. "I hate you!" "Ah, but today is opposite day!" "I love you! It has(n't) been around since the 1800s, there (or not). It's (not) usually observed in late January.
