i have seen people use apples and potatoes to smoke dope from. i call it a vegetable bong. in the case of an apple, use a knife to cut out the stem side to make a nice hollow for your dope. next use sharp object to poke a hole from the other side into the hollow. pack your vegetable bong and smoke.

i have heard smokers say it takes away the harshness just like a conventional bong. it also cools and filters the smoke. if your'e hungry afterwards just eat the apple, they say.
