Style points, y'know?

Man, If I Was A Girl... I'd wear a rat trap hairpin. Boys like me would go gaga. Think: Warhol; DaDa; Anti-art.

To match that blood-curdling scream [thumbwax, Oct 04 2004]

This one will stay in place. http://www.designc.net/norun/fix.htm
You can "take apart the rat", too. That's both disturbing and intriguing. [Amos Kito, Oct 04 2004]

What is a rat trap hairpin?

Wear one anyway. That would make even more of a statement

rat trap hairpin = rat trap in hair (rat optional)
I'd substitute Rauschenberg for Warhol, as Rauschenberg's masks, for example, used a "combine" technique by incorporating at least one found object.

[basie], i'm thinking of the "plain-jane, wooden rectangle with a spring loaded wire mechanism essential to 50's cartoon housewives" rat traps. ("snap-over" sounds to me to describe this perfectly, but the ones in the links didn't seem to match) Set hair on trap activation, SNAP, & pull thru wire.

Yea [thumbwax], or a member of the fluxus movement, yoko ono or al hansen (beck's grandpapa); but I kinda wanted to drop a name that gives the general uninitiated public a familiar 'in-the-spirit-of', so they can at least say "oh. ok, sure. whatever".

[nick@nite]: I'll just assume you weren't trying to be piercing, tho that seems to be betting against the odds around here... I luv Warhola. Went ape? Sure. He rocks. Countless reasons, (having affiliation with the Velvet Underground being big), but Commercial Art; he's the kinda person I want drawing high-heel shoe ads or, had Campbells had any sense at all, making soup labels. Artistic Genius in the mass media : sounds good to me.

That he was gay: ~~~bisexual, probably. Me? I'd fuck him. Czech => Bohemian => hott.

That reminds me: y'know how you can blow out hot air or cool air ("haaaaaa" or "wooooooh");;; d'ya notice how "hot" has that "haaa" & cool has that "ooooh"? Yae.
