Instead of punishing

This is a video game principle in which every time you get killed you get rewarded with more fire power so that you can kill the mother fuckers who killed you. So you would start out with one bullet per second and you get killed, the only thing that would change is that you would get 2 bullets per second and continue from the same place in the game. If you are doing really bad you get to kill everybody. If you are good then you only get a few bullets and you get to play a short elegant perfect game. If you are a loser you get to kill everybody. It is like the best of a possible worlds.

This concept could make some games a lot more enjoyable when two people of unequal ability play against each other. The good players would of course still win based on having been killed fewer times, but the game-play might be better.

The idea title could use some work. Most games already work by giving rewards. Its just that they generally give rewards to the players that ones explore more territory before dying. Maybe Automatic Handicap Gaming.

So, the winning player is the one with the lowest handicap? Number of kills is not displayed because it becomes irrelevant? ... some rare games have this baked-in. Agar.io comes to mind. The more enemies you eat, the slower and more clumsy you become. Still [+] for making this game mechanic explicit.

Dbag gamers would get killed a bunch on purpose so they could power up and then destroy everyone with their megaweapons and thousands of hours of gaming skills.

The way to do this right is make it very occasional. Very occasionally some persistent pathetic loser will unexpectedly get godlike powerup and rain havoc / smacktalk on all the conventionally equipped gamers. Then it is back to pathetic loserdom for the endowed one.

If only real life was like that. Then I'd show you. I'd show you all I tells ya!
