Oh! Frabjous Day! Welcome Back Jutta!
-- gnomethang, Oct 04 2004

Arse! "Small piece of paper with 3 4-digit numbers on it" has gone from being a top ten idea to having no votes at all. Oh well - at least it's there...
-- hippo, Oct 04 2004

Happy. Thank you, Jutta.
-- egbert, Oct 04 2004

Do you think jutta would like a fund to be set up to defray the mighty expsense, that she musta rung up, re-doing the place? Anyone speak to her? I've got an extra nickel burning a hole in my pocket!
-- blissmiss, Oct 04 2004

>>POOF!!!<<
Hey! I'm back!! But somebody took my Butt Wedge.
-- lintkeeper2, Oct 04 2004

I'm home! The insurance company sure did a good job of replacing my stuff after the fire. Lost a tortoise or two, but most everything else is there.
-- Worldgineer, Oct 04 2004

Damn, but it's good to be back. I'm going to have to do that "chink a glass of wine against my monitor" thing again. Here's to the HB, and to Jutta in particular, the Toastmaster General. <clink>. Cheers, all.
-- lostdog, Oct 04 2004

<clink>woof! - strokes my best pup </clink>
-- po, Oct 04 2004

-- DesertFox, Oct 04 2004

What you all said in one big sentence.
-- skinflaps, Oct 05 2004

What [skinflaps] said if that isn't an echo.
-- oneoffdave, Oct 05 2004

Well done!
-- Lacus Trasumenus, Oct 05 2004

-- benfrost, Oct 05 2004

-- jonthegeologist, Oct 05 2004

¡¡Qué bueno es verlos a todos otravez!! (sorry, words filled with emotion don't taste as good in a foreign language). Me ha sido devuelto un buen pedazo de mi corazón ¡Los quiero!
-- Pericles, Oct 05 2004

Thank you, Jutta. I notice that on my personal list of ideas, you restored a few which had been individually deleted as being inappropriate. I assume you will want to re-delete them.

Thanks again, for hosting such a nice place to go crazy. -- Which reminds me: I have a few hundred kilobytes of new text to post (whole computer programs). Shall I?
-- Vernon, Oct 05 2004

SO nice to be back - thanks all.
-- zen_tom, Oct 05 2004

at lats at last!!!! I can get my life back together and my pupils can get back to teaching themselves!!! HURRRAH!!!

I've sent the application for Jutta's canonisation into the vatican, I'm sitting waiting for smoke or whatever the hell it is they do.

// trolls (do we need a halfbakery-centric term for these?) //

Mold?
-- waugsqueke, Oct 05 2004

What everyone else said. Hurray for Jutta - god bless her and all who sail in her.
-- goff, Oct 05 2004

now I'll have something to do in all that pesky free time again. seriously. jutta, a thousand blessings on your home.
-- schematics, Oct 05 2004

Just when my forced return to normalcy looked inevitable, it has been evited. Many thanks!
-- lurch, Oct 05 2004

And jutta seems to have scraped some old faces from Google's cache as well. May be all these people who haven't been around for a while have been secretly watching the HB for years but not contributing in order to actually get some work done?
-- goff, Oct 06 2004

Like me for example.

Good to see the old place back.
-- ChewTheBeef, Oct 06 2004

// trolls, (do we need a halfbakery-centric term for these?) //

I propose "Rolls".
-- Jinbish, Oct 06 2004

The Halfbakery has been clensed by fire, and now the air blows fresh & new like a new Eden. the next troll will slither in on his belly. Unfortunately there's always some newbie or witless baker who takes him up on his challenge. Don't talk to the serpent! [edited]
-- dentworth, Oct 06 2004

And one more thank you to Jutta. And let us know if financial donations would be accepted. I'll make a small one.
-- jscottpete, Oct 06 2004

<grunt> <grunt> <push> <push>

-- RayfordSteele, Oct 06 2004

Born again whats, though, Consul? Whosabackbabies, maybe onceahasbeeners, or perhaps christian buns arisingers, or...
-- blissmiss, Oct 06 2004

On my bended knee, I thank thee, O bakesperson, for restoring what passes for my sanity. I hereby, herewith and hereuntofore bestow upon thee the Eternal Order Of The Fluffy Perfectly-Browned Crisp-On-Top French-Style Breakfast Essential, or OEETFPBCOTFSBE for short. Nice one, jutta.
-- phlogiston, Oct 06 2004

does [Jutta] have a wishlist ? I couldn't find one.
or perhaps a favourite charity ?
-- neilp, Oct 07 2004

//Born again whats, though//

Dough boys? and girls, and others (UB).
-- etherman, Oct 07 2004

Excellent. Not only have I just got broadband at my place at uni, but the bakery is here as well.

Many thanks jutta. Must have taken a nasty amount of work.
-- RobertKidney, Oct 07 2004

Yaoman service by Jutta. I think most people are unable to vote becoz of problem in logging in (I just got it rectified by informing to HB). Otherwise by now the score must have been 410 or more instead of 41.
-- vedarshi, Oct 07 2004

Well, so much for all that spare time I had. Ha. I think I'll wear my hb t-shirt all day today.
-- bpilot, Oct 07 2004

Since the halfbakery crash, I've worked so hard that I've gotten two raises and a promotion, been nominated for our company's Chairman's Award, helped disabled students learn to read, painted houses for underprivileged children, bought a luxurious mansion with my additional income, met a lovely woman in my free time, got married, adopted three beautiful sons, and am currently running for office as State Assemblyman in a race where I've taken a huge lead.

...I'm so glad it's back!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)
-- phundug, Oct 07 2004

Pods were everywhere around the crash site. One survivor emerged from a pod. Strands of green cloth and layers of dust, this figure, known to ufologists as the 'ghillie', is one of many specimen occupying the universe known as 'internet'. Quite dangerous around fire, it has a vivid imagination, but lacks the skill to use it.

Er, whatever. AND WE'RE BACK!!!
-- ghillie, Oct 07 2004

It is good to be back. In my time away I went crazy with work, got burnt out, and spent a lot of time reminiscing about [UnaBubba]’s “I QUIT!” Service. Croissants keep me regular.
-- Laughs Last, Oct 07 2004

<Canuck awakes from his self-induced coma, looks around, grabs a piece of stale croissant and says>

What do you mean it's October? Did I miss anything?
-- Canuck, Oct 08 2004

What do you mean it's '04?
-- Shz, Oct 08 2004

The bad news is, my croissants are all gone. The good news is, Weetos are now £1 from Kwik Save.
-- spiritualized, Oct 09 2004

Weetabix is £1 for 24 in Asda right now, too.
-- Ian Tindale, Apr 27 2006

Was the crash caused by anything cool, like an explosion or something? Or just hardware/software failure, or human error?
-- notmarkflynn, Apr 27 2006
