Shoes don't need to be in different sizes. They just need some kind of adjustable bladder inside (like a self-inflating air mattress) that fills in around your foot. They would come with a remote control so you could make tiny adjustments to the fit.-- mrthingy, Aug 31 2000 Michele J. Fox http://www.google.c...22Michele+J.+Fox%22oh dear, mrthingy. You had to ask, didn't you! [DrBob, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004] MrThingy, go get a pair of Giant BasketBall Player sized shoes, stick enough socks in around your feet so that your little tootsies feel snug, and then try to walk.
OK, now get up off the floor. See, those extra 6 inches of toe weren't such a good idea, were they? Plus, you kind of look like a funny clown.-- andreamer, Aug 31 2000 andreamer: One could easily get used to walking in them. It would just take a little practice.-- mrthingy, Jun 09 2001 But they wpo;d have tp be the size of the largest foot in the world to fit "all". I'm a size 14 which would look a little silly on the more petite members of society.-- dare99, Nov 16 2001 dare99: looks like your hands are also a bit big for your keyboard.-- pottedstu, Nov 16 2001 Whoops, have been awake for an awful long time and my hands arn't working v.well.-- dare99, Nov 17 2001 I think I saw this idea in Back to the Future. It seemed to work for Michele J. Fox. Speaking of Christopher Lloyd...-- Hobbes, Feb 13 2002 Who's Michele J. Fox?-- mrthingy, Feb 18 2004 I dint like the orogianl idea as much, but how about: A genetically engineered plant that feels like and has shape of shoes, but grows along with you?-- kamathln, Feb 07 2005 I saw some of Michele J Fox's films and it seems she too has an inflatable bladder.-- benfrost, Feb 07 2005 Hmmm... we could get rid of the great disparity between rich and poor... City shoe racks! Sort of like the yellow bikes, but perhaps with an attendant to keep them sprayed 'fresh'.... yeh... ucky!-- spacer, Feb 07 2005 halfbakery
