prescribe glasses for stupid people

then they look smarter, and therefore may be encouraged to become smarter
-- technobadger, Mar 18 2001

It's not the lens prescription that does it, it's the frames.
-- UnaBubba, Mar 20 2001

of course different frames imply different types of intelligence

Where can I get a pair?
-- JesseOQ, Aug 10 2003

I would punch you for this, but you are wearing glasses...
-- Saruman, Mar 09 2004

You could also increase equality in the treatment of stupid/intelligent people by prescribing national health, black rimmed specs with sticking plaster over one lens to the intelligent people.

Except, after a while, everyone would know which people were stoopid and which were brainy just by looking at their glasses. You could swap the prescriptions around then, but then...everyone would still know ....er....forget it.

You've got to spell it out in full (hands Dr Brain a pair of aforementioned glasses before he makes a spectacle of himself).
-- Ian Tindale, Mar 11 2006

agreed - mfd dr brain instead.... pulls out plug on sink - sound of single, puny glug. Shouts down "S" bend "welcome to the Bakery - I'm fairly new here too" then replaces plug to prevent him/her climbing back up spout.

idea to be called - wait of it - Brain Drain. It had to be said and I HAD to say it first !

[ian] I don't think you have to (hands Dr Brain another pair of glasses because he just walked into a wall and broke them).
