06-24-04. It has been a long time indeed. Apparently, I've missed quite a bit here in the last, um, 8 months(?!). Sorry to not have been a part, but glad for news of the site and for the fact that it's still here. 'twould have been a great loss for many.

No more band, diff. job since December, lots of music stuff going on (gaining bass chops, excellent).

My brain keeps doing weird things on me, so I'll leave some of the mental detritus here, as I have been wont to do. ~~~

10-11-03. At the behest of two acquaintances, I have wandered yet again into the hallowed half-baked halls in order to update those few who care on the state of my affairs.

Evidence (my band) is doing well, although we didn't get to open for Petra and Stryper, alas. I am A+ and MCSE now, but no CCNA, and I still have not managed to dupe anyone into signing unconscientably large checks for me. What I have been able to do is listen to unhealthy amounts of Dream Theatre and Rush, and my bass teacher keeps calling referring to me as being into 'math-rock'. If being a musical elitist rarely satisfied with 4/4 makes me a math-rocker, then so be it I suppose.

Now if only I had either A. discipline, or B. some sort of gadget that might make a fair contribution here on HB, I might be able to remember my ideas long enough to post them. *sigh*... ~~~

3-24-03. Woe betide this age's purveyors of filth, what as foist their degenerate wares upon every cowering edge of the internet. Alas, for this lowest common denominator of proletarian slop has yet again crept upon an unsuspecting registrant, while he languished amidst the rigors of /vita reale/. 'Tis a sad day, for left hand circus dot net is no longer the bastion of hale humor and sound music that once it was. Please, do avoid it at all costs, and disassociate the name with my own, as it has been cruelly disassociated with the goodness for which I stand.

Meanwhile, I've gotten my A+, CCNA, MCSA, and am more than half way to my MCSE. Rejoice with me, for some day soon I shall dupe some unsuspecting rogue into signing checks with far too many digits. Hallelujah! ~~~

8-23-02. *wonders when jutta's going to request I cut my diar^H^H^H^H profile back* Well met, all! Since we last left our weirdo, he's been fired for 'hacking', joined a(nother) band, gone back to school, and met many interesting people; at least one of them is rumored to be of the more delicate persuasion. Actually, it was more like "fired for deliberately being a terd and getting caught trying to manually spoof passwords on an anemic kludge of a system that's older than he is." So much for the stable routine.

Howdy, folks! I'm back, kind of. Today is 4-30-02. I've actually settled into a reasonably stable routine now for the last, oh, couple months anway. Back at home, as always, just bought a new Honda Civic (word), working at a desk (dauth@bcharrispub.com), playing in a band, still thinking up crazy stuff. Back to my Mountain Dew and HB addictions now, I suppose. Great. Now I'll never get any work done.

The soundman gig was great (freelunch sucks, btw! ROFL), and it paved the way for some present endeavors, but I'm still getting my bread buttered by Corporate America, for the time being, anyway.

~~~ Well, kids, as of 6-7-01, I'm off on a long, strange trip. I'll be touring the 48 contiguous and parts abroad to be soundman, tech, writer, and roadie extraordinaire for the band/organization freelunch. If the site ever comes up, it'll be freelunch.org (and I'm the one that will have done all the writing, if not the whole site. ;))
