Adjustable Attractiveness Portrait Generator

Middle picture is actual portrait you upload, slider underneath makes it sequentially uglier or better looking.
  (+4, -2)
(+4, -2)

For instance, a person with a weak chin would get a stronger jawline as they slid the adjustment bar to the right, the chin would recess more as you slid it to the left.

Could be like those funny carnival character artists who make funny pictures of their customers. Might also be a way to get some grooming tips.

Well, the technology is certainly here to do this. https://www.faceboo.../26090703417298154/

Absolutely, have adjustable parameters for varied perceptions of beauty. Maybe you click though ai faces and rate them to calibrate your taste.

Hey, could monetize this by selling the products that make you look better. Too evil?

What sets this apart from the games they're playing with AI image and video tools already?
normzone, Mar 14 2026

The slider moves inexorably to the left as time passes.

//monetize this by selling the products that make you look better.//

Doesn't much of the internet already work like this? That is, a platform offers beauty filters (so everyone you see looks better than they really are), and the same platform serves you ads for beauty products, and also promotes videos by influencers that are also ads for beauty products. (If you're a MAN, then s/beauty/looks-maxxing/g - same business model).

I think all the parts are out there already but the sliding scale and “less attractive” part are new I think.

I’d only want do this if it made people feel better about themselves though so that would have to be factored in somehow. Not sure how though. Maybe coaches you to see beauty is more than just physical appearance or health coaching to lose weight? Dunno.
doctorremulac3, Mar 14 2026

I already had to do this around the turn of the century when my wife was saddened by all the images of ... sculpted and polished women in the media. After I hunted up a bunch of photoshop examples she understood the tricks and felt better.

       Kudos, [norm].

Does the slider start in the middle, or does it [grimace] initialize to the appropriate location?
ed, Mar 17 2026

Definitely in the middle, it’s just you.

And I think it would have to be a positive experience. Maybe emphasizing things could actually control. Hairstyles, makeup for gals etc. weak chin maybe it gives you a beard?
doctorremulac3, Mar 17 2026

The beard somehow made it worse - but it was worth a try.
pertinax, Mar 17 2026

I guess you could choose various fixes, for instance for receding hairlines maybe shaving the whole head, various hats or even a toupee, although I'm not sure they even make those anymore.

Or you could just make it a prank, say "Picture upload not working, do not try to be funny by making an ugly face.”
doctorremulac3, Mar 17 2026

The linked add popped up. The tech to do this is certainly available.

Might even be able to monetize it, not just showing how to look better like the thing in the link, find out what makes you look worse. Slide all the way to the left and get a bowl cut or something.
