Browser addon that saves a few words about each liked video that I watch (watches it again and gives a summary if one doesn't exist) allows me to add a note (which i usually won't) and find that video that I saw, which all of a sudden
is of utter importance to show my friend with cancer.

The internet doesn't seem to recognize the phrase "occasional book", but that's the analogue version of what you're proposing here. The way I remember it, they used to be popular with leisured Victorians who would make copies of text passages they liked, to re-enjoy them later (or show them to friends). |

It's odd how, every so often, the internet seems to decide that a particular thing in history was ... not a thing. We so easily take for granted that all human knowledge is here, it's startling to be reminded that it's not. |
