Have an easy to use CAD program with parts like straws and
widgets and connectors etc.
When I swing my fingers on an object it does a
transformation that it guesses is probably what I meant, but
offers me three other possibilities, along with a cancel.
A camera watches my gestures and plays with the outcome.
I also give it a rough description of what I want to achieve
and according to previous millions of other people using the
app, it helps me get there quickly.

Hmm. Something like this, with a community-sourced library of common components, would be quite cool. It would also be useful to have a search function, so that you can ask for (say) a 2" cogwheel with 38 teeth, and the app will tell you that you can scavenge one from a Xerox toner cartridge. |
