EBO

New HB acronym - Exists But Obscure

One lesson of the Internet (even apart from HB) is that there are very few really new ideas. I post very few of my own half baked ideas here because I take the time to search for prior art. and cull the ones someone else thought of first.

But sometimes I miss. Had an idea for a toy a few days ago and searched with various terms... couldn't find anything like it so I went ahead and posted. It took a couple days for someone else to find the exact thing.

So ... EBNWK: Exists But Not Widely Known? EBHTF: Exists But Hard To Find?

EBO: Exists But Obscure... is the shortest I could come up with. Though I'm sure some acronym already exists for this purpose that I just haven't stumbled upon yet.

       "NWKTE"
Too ambiguous. I could say a borg's soul is NWKTE without implying anything about its actual existence.

EBO is shorter and more definite.

I like the sound of it. I also like the word "obscure". It's underused, in my opinion, and EBO reminds me of ELO. What can be bad about that? ( [Cuit_au_ Four]'s linky.)

Not to be confused with Extrahepatic Biliary Obstruction, or Extremely Bad Operations, or ... Ebola. (see acronyms & and abbreviations link)

I love that list, [kdf]. Evil Baby Orphanage - brilliant.
