Firewire Walk With Me is a tightrope wire that goes on fire as the person traverses it.
It does this because contained within the wire is a flexible gas pipe whose progress is punctuated by a series of micro-engineered valves. As the walker moves forward, sensors built into their shoes trigger the
ignition of the gas line behind whichever is the trailing foot.
This means that by the time the walker completes their daring journey, the tightrope is burning along its entire length.
Looks great at night, spanning a gap between two towering buildings.
Not recommended that anyone attempts to make one.

Gas flame modulated using standing sound waves. You could make a flaming tightrope with moving gaps. The one in the video had resonance peaks but you could use a speaker at either end, and continuously scan the frequencies. [Richard K, Aug 25 2026]
