Almost all domestic pets are drawn from species living in temperate or tropical climates. Yet there are many fascinating species in the polar regions of our planet.

Polar bears and penguins have, of course, been kept in zoos for many decades, but they seldom take well to becoming pets. The smaller polar species are perhaps better suited to petdom but, because of their small body size (or cold-bloodedness) do not thrive at the higher temperatures we humans prefer.

MaxCompanion, therefore, is proud to introduce its range of fridge- and freezer-compatible pet habitats. Models are available to fit most domestic brands of fridge and freezer, and to suit both aquatic and terrestrial species.

Have you always wanted a giant pycnogonid but balked at the cost of a refrigerated marine aquarium? Balk no more! Simply remove one of the drawers from your current upright freezer and install a Size One Subzeraquarium module.

Think arctic voles are cuddlesome, but shiver at the thought of turning down your central heating? Shiver no more! Small mammal cages are available in three sizes, and can replace either the vegetable tray or one or more shelves in your fridge. Wheels, snow and feeding troughs are available for all your FridgePet needs.

Remember, polar species will be the first up against the wall when the next ice-age comes, so buy now!!
