Ice Karma

Tubs of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, swirled into the shape of the yin and yang. Will you eat one before the other, and eliminate good or evil? Or swirl your spoon around inside, and plunge the universe into chaos?

I imagine the concept could be extended to single-serving ice cream cups as well.

Something to do with magical bears, apparently. [jtp, Nov 17 2009]

Does it come in yogart for the enlightose intolerent?

I tried to bake the soup version of this. Two different flavoured soups in the same bowl. Given the molecular structure of ice cream, it will probably work quite well. Unlike my soup fiasco.

What a beautiful and tasty idea. One big, melty + from me.

Actually, Quest, Karma (which is from Hinduism) has nothing to do with the yin and yang, which are from Daoism. I just put it in the name because 1) It's kind of a pun and 2) Hinduism and Daoism are both eastern belief systems.

And it's not really Good and Evil - those are not the kind of dichotomies that Daoism (or Taoism) works with. Yielding and unyielding is probably a better description. Ho hum.

       Have you never studied Ursinology?
Aristotle, Nov 17 2009

I thought the Yin and Yang represented all opposite forces... including good and evil, and chocolate and vanilla. And no, I've no idea what Ursinology is. Link?

I'm going to take a guess and say "The Tao of Pooh"

Fun idea, smacks of the Ben and Jerry's product karamel sutra, but with a better theme (Karamel Sutra should probably be made in a yin-yang).

That bear shit is bull shit. But this tasty treat would go well if enjoyed on my bus, it comes to mind.
blissmiss, Nov 17 2009

Doesn't that then make it faintly disturbing that a yin fits into a yang in precisely the same way?
pertinax, Nov 18 2009

Ahh, I knew I could reply on Google to point people towards the Wisdom of Pooh - the wider writing started by the Tao of Pooh.

       Who do you reply to?
RayfordSteele, Nov 18 2009

The people who sought to work out what Ursinology was.

I always have been slightly impressed by karma in that it seems to help you progress or regress up your local class structure via reincarnation. Accumulate enough and you could end up being born into your local royal family, such as the Bush dynasty.
