Just pick a substitutionary item off the shelf and you buy that item and another contribution of the same value to your stock account or your pension

So you can invest regularly

And you can also not have a substitionary/sacrificial item bought but just the cost of that item - you're going without that item but investing it for the future.

So I can go to a coffee shop and say can I have a latte and one for investing.

Maybe it could be associated with your bank card to where investments go

Alternatively you could have boxes or cards in the shop to represent funds on offer.

       How about when the card reader bill pops up and says "Would you like to leave a tip?" or "Would you like to donate to help starving children" it says "Would you like to invest 10% of your purchase into this, today's top recommended mutual fund according to Morningstar Stock Market Reports?

       Never knew about the South Sea bubble so looked it up, thank you Pert, interesting stuff.   

       Don't wanna say I see similarities between the current AI boom and the Dot Com bubble.
