Martial Arts for the Elderly

Ping-pong is for losers
  [vote for,

Another random survey suggests that playing table tennis can delay the full onset of alzheimers disease unless you played the sport to death previously and it bores you to tears.

So while we're trying to get old people to learn something new so their brains don't shut down prematurely, why not martial arts ?

This will prepare them for the next few years when they really lose the plot and need some mechanisms to fight against the nursing staff oppressing them.

       Tai Chi.

An excellent low-impact exercise system based on Chinese martial arts, suitable even for the elderly. Improves balance, breathing, muscle tone and coordination.

How am I supposed to beat an attacker silly using tai chi? Play the video on fast-forward?
