The article that I wrote about a new type of blog now
gets an added section:

Hate speach attracts more followers. This is how Meta's algorithms are configured: ie new teenage girls who join Tik-Tok are bombarded with weight loss posts, then "how to self harm safely" then ultimately effective suicide methods. It was research pointing this out that has lead to Imran Ahmed head of Centre for Countering Digital Hate being told he's being excluded from the USA, which is now the global centre of this type of media algorithm. It's a very interesting debate ie that platforms should be free/not free to promote hate and harm attracting algorithms under freedom of speach. Many of my own posts here have been subjected to bullying and personal abuse so I understand this situation well from an experienced perspective. |

[xenzag] Also note that Federal Judge of SDNY Judge Vernon S. Broderick immediately granted a restraining order on the ban. It's only fair to mention that the US is also a major center for countering this sort of algorithmic BS, along with many international partners. It ain't all bad here. Don't characterize based on media; wait to see what happens. |
