Eyedrops containing a reversible photochromic dye may provide temporary relief (on the order of a few hours) from light sensitivity while being able to quickly adapt to changing light conditions (indoor vs outdoors).
Inspired by reading about VUITY® (pilocarpine hydrochloride ophthalmic solution),
which provides temporary relief from presbyopia. While pilocarpine constricts the pupil (reducing light entering the eye while also sharpening depth of field), a photochromic dye could block specific wavelengths as and also change intensity.
