To put a little pep in their step?
whatrock, Oct 14 2020

Can we have a bowl of fresh Gagh, and a bottle of Romulan ale please ?
8th of 7, Oct 14 2020

It will be Hasperat and Raktajino for you lightweights.
whatrock, Oct 14 2020

       made for the pun
Voice, Oct 14 2020

       There will be tribble.

Gagh with Romulan ale? Sounds like something a patak would say!
kdf, Oct 14 2020

That from a citizen of a nation that invented peanut butter and jello sandwiches, which pours maple syrup over bacon, and originated the McDonalds hamburger ...

You're not exactly on the moral high ground there. More in a sort of very, very deep pit, awash with corn syrup, genetically modified soya, chlorine-soaked chicken, trans fats, monosodium glutamate, hydrogenated palm oil, 11 herbs and spices, and Special Secret Sauce ...

[xenzag], over to you to lift the abuse and humiliation to the next level; it's much more your field than ours.
8th of 7, Oct 14 2020

Hah, you make so many assumptions and try to package so many unrelated things together. You think because I was born in the USA that that I eat at McDonald's? And some of the stuff you listed isn't even from the USA (like MSG, from Japan).

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, maybe - but peanut butter and JELLO? Who did you assimilate that would even think of such a thing?
kdf, Oct 14 2020

       // I was born in the USA ... I eat at McDonald's? //

Ecclesiasticus 13:1 ... guilt by association.

// but peanut butter and JELLO? //

It could hardly be more repulsive than jelly ... or "jam", as it's called in the civilised world.

And you made no attempt to deny or dissociate yourself from the maple syrup on the bacon, a sort of genocide for cured pork products ... a crime against breakfast.

Syrup on waffles, fine. Just go over in the booth in the corner and eat it out of sight and smell of everyone else. But on bacon ? Fried or grilled bacon ? No. It's just wrong.
8th of 7, Oct 14 2020

But The Picard would have tea, Earl Grey, hot, and none of this HFCS-tainted maple syrup for his bacon, which I doubt he'd eat anyway. [8th], is it "nanites, freshly baked, no phage please"? That sounds pretty close to a tall glass of peptides.
whatrock, Oct 14 2020

Sorry 8th, no - bacon isn't in my diet either. And like *you* have room to talk? The "malt vinegar" in most of your fish and chip shops hasn't been real vinegar for years.

But back to Klingon Gagh - it just doesn't GO with Romulan Ale. Wouldn't you have it with Blood Wine instead?
kdf, Oct 14 2020

No, it's like a crossover, fusion thing, you know ?

Haven't you got any sense of adventure ?

// bacon isn't in my diet either. //

Then it's not a diet, it's some weird self-inflicted penitence.

// The "malt vinegar" in most of your fish and chip shops hasn't been real vinegar for years. //

So yes, it's "Non-brewed condiment with caramel colouring" (Thankyou the EU labelling directive) but it's at least as real as the anaemic, gassy lemonade that Anheuser-Busch, Molson Coors and the rest foist on an uneducated population under the appelation of "lager beer" ... for all his faults, if Hitler had conquered the USA there was a chance he might have imposed the Reinheitsgebot, meaning that actual beer would be on sale decades before the microbrewery trend began.

Some brews from small, independent U.S. breweries are actually very good ... <Choking noises/>
8th of 7, Oct 14 2020

       "...Anheuser-Busch, Molson Coors ..."
-8th of 7

You missed Stroh's - a local Detroit origin beer, now owned by Pabst. I can't stand the stuff.

I'm very adventurous about food, but gagh and with Romulan Ale just don’t go together.
kdf, Oct 14 2020

We invented Star Trek, Star Wars, Starship Troopers, Star Search, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, but also Battlefield Earth and Dancing with the Stars so I guess that negates two.

You're still remaking a sci-fi that featured rolling trash cans and a police box as high special effects.
RayfordSteele, Oct 15 2020

They aren't remakes, they've just traveled forward in time from the 1960's, due to a fault in the TARDIS.

Besides, you also invented Battlestar Galactica, and everyone's still waiting for an apology.
8th of 7, Oct 15 2020

Hey, watch it, I will not hear a negative word about the BSG remake. So say we all!
