Popcorn kebab

Skewered and sweet (or salty)
  [vote for,

As suggested in the title except maybe decorated in such ways as with mini marshmallows for example (not that I am biased)

Popped before or after skewering? I ask because the 1/32 hole required to string the unpopped kernels on the thinnest skewer would seriously impact their ability to pop. Like, no pop at all. We know this due to the widely-reported experimental outcomes in the notes from the 1986 Science Fair top winner 'Why Does Popcorn Pop?'.

Why stop 1/32 one might rightly demand??

Satay popcorn for the market where that skewered comestible originated

...or with a toffee apple flavoured crust

Nothing wrong with popcorn, but we've been stringing it up for centuries. I don't see the advantage of using a skewer instead. [+/-]
