Computers can compose music in many styles now, and can be told to hit certain emotional notes at certain times in the song. A wearable computer or smartphone could do this in real time to compose a soundtrack for events as they happen in a person's life in real time. Emotionally-aware technologies like those used in sentiment analysis and software like that produced by Affectiva could monitor the words being spoken in nearby conversations, the expressions of nearby people, and maybe the environment to determine the setting (office, park, elevator) and location to determine velocity (to detect walking or car or plane travel, for example).

Wealthier clients can hire a small band, with a piano on a trolley and a small string and vocal section, to accompany them at all times improvising suitable musical accompaniment.
