I suggest fitting a leather saddle to a cruisemissile, attaching reins to the front end; and riding it like a horse.
The rocket horse concept could be visualised as similar to pod racing but you just sit astride a single engine.
Your cruisemissile based steed would have a high tech interface between
the reins and the guidance computer.
When riding I would recommnend a saftey hat and a parachute in case you fall off.

Oh, don’t be too precariously mounted, my dear. Strap yourself to one of the louvered-fan jetpack powered by my rotary engine instead. See link. I bet your parachute cannot save your cruise missile, but such lightweight jetpack can save itself with a normal parachute, yet giving you the option to let yourself bail out from it for suicidal purposes among others. |

Thinking about it, almost baked by the very first cruise missile, the V1, piloted test versions of which had a cockpit.
But that was a jet (as are most cruise missiles for most of their flight). |
