Shower-Washer-Dryer

Small Shower Booth Also Functions As Clothes Washer & Dryer

This small space-saving shower booth might be suitable for an RV camper, or boat, or even a small apartment, or dorm, or cabin/cottage.

In addition to being able to shower inside this small shower booth, you can hang clothes inside it to have them washed, and later also have them dried.

There is a shower head that sits overhead, pointing downwards, to shower you with water. The shower head also has an integrated soap dispenser to dispense soap/shampoo.

When being used as a Clothes Washer, the clothes are suspended from that same shower head, while being surrounded by a large rubberized bag. The shower head is actually poking into the top of that bag and being used to spray water on the clothes, filling up the suspended bag in the process (there are holes at the bottom of the bag to allow water to gradually drain out). That integrated soap dispenser is then being used to dispense laundry soap onto the clothes.

Later on, after the Clothes Washing phase is done, the rubber bag enclosure is removed, leaving the clothes to continue hanging. You'd have to wring out the clothes manually, while they continue hanging, to remove excess water. Or maybe there'd be some way to first squeeze bag with clothes inside, squeezing it between rollers, and then after you could remove the bag. (How about just slide bag over, to press it against the shower wall, and then run a roller up & down it to squeeze out all the water?)

Then finally you can go to the Clothes Drying phase, where we have a hot blower that blows hot air from above onto those hanging clothes. I'm thinking it would be some kind of vortex blower. (Same blower could be used at a lower intensity to dry you off after showering. There can be some control panel to ensure appropriate settings for safety. Also, there can be an overhead light that changes colors to indicate what mode the shower-booth is operating in.)

The drain at the bottom of the shower would have an easily removable & cleanable filter/catch that would catch body hairs and textile fibers, so that they don't clog the drain.

//hang clothes inside// Seems unnecessary duplication of effort and water. Just step in fully clothed.

Not bad. The shower pan could have a plug , and use a bipedal wash cycle (like stomping grapes)

As part of the trend towards shrinking living spaces, there are more dual-use spaces. A Murphy bed is a space for sleeping, but retracts into the wall to make room for floor space or other furniture.

A shower-washer-dryer combo is then likewise a dual-use space which can be more efficiently used by a single person in their dwelling. Such multi-functionality can also cut down on costs for the dwelling.

So you sleep on your bed, then when it is time to get up, the bed hinges up vertically into its cupboard, and the water nozzles spray you, the bedding and your clothes (which you sleep in, save having separate daywear and nightware). Then a quick drying cycle and you can exit by the side hatch (which remains locked until the dry cycle is finished). There is a drinking straw available so you can have your coffee while waiting for the wash/dry cycle to finish.
