Single Wine Bottle Chiller

For the chilling of a single bottle of wine

Sometimes you need to chill a single bottle of wine. The best way of doing this is to put it in the fridge yesterday, but that's not always possible due to the current state of time travel being fixed at ~1x in the forward direction and fridges not being everywhere.

So, take a neoprene jacket structure that fits a standard wine bottle snugly. Into this fit an aluminum plate curved to fit the average wine bottle diameter. This should be around 100x50mm or so. To this plate, fit a Peltier cooler, then a heatsink and fan sticking out of the back of the neoprene jacket. Then we need power, I'd go with 3x18650 lithium cells and appropriate USB-C charging/power passthru. Some clever electronics to limit the Peltier current based on the present temp of the wine should get a couple of hours of cooling out of the lithium cells and plugged in, it can run at full chat.

You could even put it IN the fridge and it should work faster.

... "rambling around this dirty old town, singing for nickels and dimes ...

Fun to belt that one out in the wine aisle of a gourmet grocery.

This is much needed (though seldom by me). [+]

Hmm. If I were to put the Peltier element it IN the fridge, wouldn't it throw heat out into the fridge, and risk warming up the interior?

       Yes, that's the point.

//and risk warming up the interior?//

Every time you put anything room temperature into the fridge, this happens. Fortunately, over the years, fridges have evolved defensive measures to maintain their inner temperature.
