Investigate politicians and show sponsors on them.

In an era where politicians are as transparent as a pea soup fog, viewers of congressional hearings, campaign speeches, and news clips are left pondering the influences shaping those orations. We are left cynical and uninformed. I propose a way to become cynical and informed.

The SponsorSpotter browser plugin lets the user click on videos* and, when activated, uses facial recognition to identify the politicians in the video. It then queries public donor databases like OpenSecrets.org to unearth their key backers. An integrated AI language model reimagines their attire as a vibrant racing jumpsuit, adorned with pertinent logos. Each company gets its logo and where there are several companies controlled by the same person, that person's name is presented.

*(trying to do all of them would be too computationally expensive.)

I'm not familiar with opensecrets.org, but I wonder how effective it is against donations in cryptocurrency, and other forms of "dark money".

The display could be like the flags digitally added to racing sailboats. (link)

The sponsor display could change depending on the legislation the politician is commenting on. One hearing it's big coal, the next hearing it's credit cards, on and on. The flag reveals their changing motivations.
