Let’s face it, a lot of people hate going to the gym. It’s boring, clinical, and feels repetitive. But humans have a biological need to move and in fitness there are prescribed ways to move but they are limited and usually the joy of movement takes a backseat to calisthenics.

But as a fully grown adult, what if you love to dance? There are almost no opportunities as a grown adult to do this very healthy and joyful activity in a class setting. Sure there are some dance-fitness classes in big box gyms, but very few and nothing dedicated to dance as its own legitimate source of fitness. More people love to dance or move to music more than they will admit. You hear a drum beat or a funky bass line and one cannot help move to the rhythm. It’s beyond basic cardio it’s holistic health that has proven health benefits as well as benefits for mood, cognitive health, balance and overall wellbeing.

Studio 24/7, a fitness gym where all the programs are dance related. You come here to dance! You can have structured classes taught by vetted professionals for various levels that teach routines and steps that are challenging and easy to follow. You can have hybrid classes like yoga-dance or HIIT dance, and you can have freestyle dance (or self-directed movement) in which you incorporate moves from the classes or your own in a safe space. Plus you can customize the time of your exercise program. You can drop in for a 10 minute warm up class that runs through out various times of the day, you can do a 30-minute, 60-minute, or 90-minute class, you can even just drop in to freestyle for 3- minutes if that’s all you got. There can be variations of style and genres of music for specific programs from classical to jazz to contemporary (electronic, pop, rock, etc).

Studio 24/7 is for every body from ages 18 - 100 including people who think they can’t dance, and people with limited mobility. There’s even seated fitness programs that can increase cardiovascular health, increase muscle tone, increase flexibility, range of motion, improve posture, and naturally raise feel good levels of dopamine. All done in a professional environment that encourages health and wellness.

It would be a good vibe place, friendly, and you can choose to be social but everyone is respectful of space. People would look forward to getting fit through dance.

Studio 24/7 also has child care, changing rooms, a healthy snack bar, towel service and plenty of parking.

I’d love to see this happen!

Dance cardio is already pretty common, but if you can add to it with some new twists, no pun. [+]
