Annotation:

and the Mens Version for us ladies. Afro amid explosion detail, UB scorching hot and sweaty, Peter in his gap get up, StarChaser looking very serious and moody (phew - thats my favourite) Vernon - just the top of his head over a keyboard, Thumb, hands on hip laughing himself silly, Dr Bob operating, Rods singing with a glass of beer, Hippo holding a baby (ahhh), Snarfy cursing manfully, PottedStu kissing, is it Bliss under the mistletoe, Phoenix casting a mysterious look over his shoulder. only 12 pages I am afraid.
po, Dec 08 2001

[po] I must get a page on the men's version, don't you think? ex officio, and all?
daruma, Dec 08 2001

       January 2003
po, Dec 08 2001

Hey, why not? I'm not sure there are enought women lurking about here to flesh out (sorry) a full year, but certainly enough guys.

I think someone has already suggested and idea-a-day calendar (if not, get posting) and that would be cool, too.

(and for the record: My 'mysterious' look is suspiciously similar to Zoolanders "Blue Steel")
phoenix, Dec 08 2001

       wholesome porn UB baby!
po, Dec 08 2001

I apologise PS I thought you said you were a Gap Gold Card Holder
po, Dec 08 2001

PS, I am sending the photographer back with a little gold lame trunks number - is that more to your taste?
po, Dec 08 2001

Cool! I can do wholesome porn! I'll pose au naturel, with an open copy of the OED and a big smile!
1percent, Dec 09 2001

Peter, it's easy enough to put a picture of yourself up on the web somewhere, and a link from your profile...

       Woohoo, 1%, work that index!
StarChaser, Dec 09 2001

even more handsome than I imagined [SC]
po, Dec 09 2001

how do you post a photo online? I'll give you all a pin-up of me ;-)

Peter! Is that really you? Not quite the nerd I pictured! <grin>
Susen, Dec 09 2001

I just scanned them....here they come Peter....
Susen, Dec 09 2001

Dammit! I wanted to do that...

Hey Susen, can I have some pictures to put on my website too?
StarChaser, Dec 09 2001

The link is up, Starchaser, download any you want ;-)

ummm...Peter, can you remove the "call me" from the link site....I don't think that's too good an idea....unless someone has a horse they want trained!
Susen, Dec 09 2001

<BlatantSexismAlert> Damn [Susen], I'd vote for a 'Fair Day Farm' calendar. Are you sure that's a horse farm and not a babe ranch? </BlatantSexismAlert>

Oh, and what's the deal with the carondeletfarm.com link behind the your logo?
phoenix, Dec 09 2001

phoenix, we've actually thought of doing a farm calendar....have you seen my staff page on the website? Until this past year, I only hired women.

Carondelet Farm is actually the farm owned by David Bernsen of San Diego, CA who also owns LetitRide.com where I moderate the Equine Health Forum. David has taken over hosting my website and handling all my corrections, updates, and other headaches (I decided I just wasn't computer literate enough to continue to try to do this on my own....). In exchange, I board a mare here for him.
Susen, Dec 10 2001

Nah, sorry, I have to rain on this particular parade. I'm too expensive. I'll need new boots for a start. Perhaps the ones [angel] linked to one of my ideas. Yes, they'll do.
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

[SdG], lose the jumper and you can be on my calendar any day. [PeterSealy], did you audition for the role of Captain Picard? [CK] and [SC] that's cheating...
link provided, of yours truly. Won't update until I'm back in the office in January, sorry.
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

neither is Daruma. I thought you had changed emphasis to a unisex calendar.
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

<faux confusion>But if you were 20 years younger, lewisgirl wouldn't have been born yet.</faux confusion>
hippo, Dec 10 2001

you flatter me, [hippo], but I'm nearly 23. Your point stands, though.
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

I know it was cheating, but would you really want my ugly mug to grace a product as fine as the halfbakery calendar?

Besides, I don't have a scanner, webcam or digital camera, so my visage will have to remain a mystery to all concerned.
CoolerKing, Dec 10 2001

[hippo], you are 'currently not available for viewing'. Is this deliberate? Important? Preferable?
angel, Dec 10 2001

[angel] Strange - it should work OK.
hippo, Dec 10 2001

       well, it doesn't.
And as one who knows how much the halfbakery is deprived by this failure, I suggest you get it fixed quick smart. People's lives are in danger of not being enriched.
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

       OK, try it now.
hippo, Dec 10 2001

Today just became a little happier. Thank you, hoppi!
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

inglybd is depraved by the addition of that!
lewisgirl, Dec 10 2001

I think all halfbakers should wear masks, to show we are all intellectual beings rejecting surfaces for the life of the mind. Either masks, or Teletubbie suits.

At HaufCon, I'll be Dipsy. No change there.
pottedstu, Dec 10 2001

(Link added to "Double bowlhead" where there is another picture of Peter Sealy...)
hippo, Dec 10 2001

Or we could just have a different pair of lewisgirl's shoes for every day of the year. Surely her webcam's pointing in the wrong place.

And while we're being insulting (well, I am), I always imagined Peter Sealy as looking like Peter MacNicol, but taller and less weird.
pottedstu, Dec 10 2001

stupop: Why are you pushing that person off a bridge? Someone should notify the authorities.
PotatoStew, Dec 10 2001

Is Mephista still around? Now there's a photo I would like to see.....
Susen, Dec 10 2001

       Dressed as Nambiar?
PotatoStew, Dec 10 2001

Lewisgirl, I'm not cheating, that is my picture. Just because I don't look like that on the outside...

<grins at Pertinent Oak> I'd have thought po including me in the Men's version would be something of a hint, but you're not the first to make that mistake...
StarChaser, Dec 10 2001

Is a kilt. One of the buttons you can't read in that picture says 'It's NOT a skirt!' <this was in response to a now-deleted annotation about someone being fooled by my wearing a skirt in my picture above...>
StarChaser, Dec 11 2001

blissmiss: When you were in hospital, are you sure they put you back together the right way?
pottedstu, Dec 11 2001

Why do you have Katie Courac's legs? Is this another bit of extra surgery to complement the frontal lobotomy?
CoolerKing, Dec 11 2001

I thought the cannibalism topic was under another idea...
phoenix, Dec 11 2001

       <<<<completely flattered by blissmiss>>>>>

I don't actually have a cubicle....I have an office, 24' x 40' with two desks in an "L", another desk behind me, two filing cabinets, a couch, a TV stand with TV - VCR -Satellite receiver, 12 bookcases, two trophy cases, a refridgerator, an aloe vera plant that is plotting a world take-over, and 6 Jack Russells..... the Russells are the best part of it....
Susen, Dec 11 2001

[angel]: which one of those would be you?
PotatoStew, Dec 11 2001

['Stew]: I'm the one holding the guitar.
angel, Dec 12 2001

       blissmiss, no photo from you?
daruma, Dec 12 2001

Susen, I think that's one of the attributes of Aloe plants...we had one when I was a kid that was stuck in a little tin bucket in a utility room that one small window that never got direct sunlight, and grew like crazy. My mother happened to notice it one day, felt sorry for it and watered it...and it died.

A year or so later, having been ignored sufficiently, it not only grew back larger than ever, it took over another pot full of dirt on the same shelf.
StarChaser, Dec 12 2001

       Hello Vera
po, Dec 12 2001

but we can see through all that, bliss - we love you! anyway, just go to amihotornot.com and steal one, preferably a reasonably high rated one, if you're shy.
lewisgirl, Dec 13 2001

[Rods]: Wouldn't that be 'higher synth', as in 'Your Oberheim is a much higher synth then my old SH-1000'.
angel, Dec 13 2001

StarChaser, my aloe, Seymour, lives in a muck bucket (about 2 1/2 feet high and same width), he is quickly (in aloe time) outgrowing it. I remove his children about 2x a year and send them to other homes....he has probably 40 offspring living in other homes at this point. I think they are all still in contact and making their secret plans.....
Susen, Dec 13 2001

Michelle, ma belle. Michelle, ma belle. These are words That go together well, My Michelle......

       susen....

"StarChaser, my aloe" - I was about to get really, really jealous........ claws out!
po, Dec 13 2001

<grins and huggles Po> Down, love...
StarChaser, Dec 14 2001

bliss, try pressing your face against the monitor and hit "Print Screen" -- won't do anything, but will give me a chuckle as I think about it . . .
daruma, Dec 14 2001

ballerina's foot come flying out of no-where and hits daruma full in the chops. (explanation of chops supplied if required)
po, Dec 16 2001

I know what "chops" are - I just got mine busted. Where's no-where?
daruma, Dec 18 2001

no where - stage direction - stage left - chops - full in the mouth so sorry, got a bit carried away with dancing stuff. you ok daruma, ooh tissue to hurtie bits, oooh sorry.
po, Dec 18 2001

no worries po, I just hope Santa didn't see that . . .
daruma, Dec 24 2001

iuvare, Dec 24 2001

How about a broken picture for Waugsqueke? Similar to the 'missing pilot' formation flown at Air Force funerals...
StarChaser, Dec 24 2001

Afro - front page of his website, handsome face, silly hat, shame about the cemtex..
po, Dec 24 2001

I'll post a pic of Dog Ed soon, just to punish you all for looking so interesting...I have to get the darned scanner reconnected first, though. [Later: Link is added.] I enjoy having a chance to put faces to the names of you yeasty crowd. Thanks!
Dog Ed, Dec 25 2001

       <grins>
StarChaser, Dec 26 2001

Wow. WOW! You all look so...so *different* than the way I imagined you--especially Peter. I'm sort of glad that my browser won't show waugs' picture and that UnaBubba won't post his. It's like reading a book and then seeing the movie that is based on it--disallusioning. For goodness sake--I thought that Peter was *old*!

juvare- Futurebird has pictures of herself scattered all through her web diary, if you want to see them. I don't know about the others.
Galileo, Jan 10 2002

Really, Peter, I used to harbor a suspicion that you were my English teacher. Okay, I didn't truly believe it, but I still thought of you as an old(ish), skinny man with grey hair on the sides and balding on the top. My mental image also included huge, rounded-square shaped glasses with gold rims-- the kind that slightly enlarge the wearer's eyes. How wrong I was!
Galileo, Jan 21 2002

Forgive my tardiness all, I am only recently reunited with my bakery, and am well embroiled in discovering the new depths herein.

As for a photograph, I have deftly managed to avoid all manner of light focusing, emulsion exposing machinations for the vast majority of my life, but maybe I should punish you all the same with one of the rare moments when I was caught unawares. Mayhaps, mayhaps...
absterge, Nov 11 2002

Wow [futurebird] you look quite in shape!
bristolz, Dec 07 2002

Though I have to say you don't normally see people jogging along the subway...
DrCurry, Dec 08 2002

Time to churn this beauty up, for International (halfbakery) Women's Day!
ConsulFlaminicus, Mar 08 2005

Odd years for the metric ladies, even years for the imperials.
ConsulFlaminicus, Mar 08 2005

That link, I believe those two look a bit, well familiar. Is it skinflaps and drbob? Angel and po? Gosh I know I've seen that pair before...
blissmiss, Mar 08 2005

What? It's International Women's Day? That would explain the female symbol on the Google page. We should've been given the choice to stay home or go to work today. Bummer.
Machiavelli, Mar 08 2005

International Men's Day is November 9th, apparently.
angel, Mar 08 2005

Linkrot appears to have claimed almost all of the links.
normzone, Jul 24 2006

Is that a type of mould?
