Two iPhones

[THIS SPACE IS INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK FOR IPHONE RANTS]

My current iPhone is about half as thick and twice as thin as my old iPhone, but is otherwise very similar in all respects. In particular, it has a front and a back. The front has a screen and does things; the back does not and does not. The only purpose of the back, as far as I can tell, is to stop things falling out of the middle, by trapping them between itself and the front.

In some far-distant future, I suspect that iPhones will have two fronts, which would be twice as good. But this technology must await as-yet-inconceivable advances in science and technology.

In the interim meantime while we wait, therefore, it would behove the iPhone accessory market to produce a twin-phone-case. It would consist of a rectangular frame with rounded corners, into which two iPhones could be fitted, back to back.

The result would be a slightly thicker iPhone, but it would have two fronts - one on each side. With suitable apps, this would open up unlimitless possibilities, such as being able to dial a completely random number on one phone whilst dialling your intended number on the other.

Has two fronts. [tatterdemalion, Jul 16 2016]

Put an Android on one side. Maybe Lt. Data.

If one were to cleverly dial the other phone, one could then talk to one's self.

Don't come looking for sympathy here. If you suffer from an IPhoney it's your own stupid fault.

We are prepared to loan you a tool suitable for improving iPhoneys. It's called a "hammer".

Mr. Ian, I have had my phone, or another version of my phone, for 4 years. It has never been jacketed. It's naked. I'm a bad mother. Shame.

Likewise, my fancy new Wileyfox Swift (a cheap Android phone) doesn't have a case.

[tatterdemalion]'s link shows me that science and technology have advanced far further than I had remotely considered possible. I covet such an item.

Indeed. We understand that recent research shows that within a century it may actually be possible to teach women to read without their heads exploding. Experiments involving hammering a Tefal pressure cooker onto a woman's head have shown satisfactory outcomes in a statistically significant sample. We thought it fanciful, but numbers don't lie.
