I frequently have the TV, or other video news sources running
muted, turning audio on in case something interesting
appears.
It'd be great to have a feature that triggers on a face or text
appearing on the screen to turn the audio on.

Even an automatic unmute when the ads are over and the
program resumes would be nice. |

This idea would be great for people who are only interested
in one thing, like a certain stock value rising or mention of
a specific place or person during a live newsfeed, that
otherwise would require hours of wasted time watching for
just a few seconds of content. |

This is widely done on car radios for traffic news. There is a signal sent from the station to tell radios when it's on, so presumably multiple signals could be sent to catagorise news stories. |

Unfortunately, it wouldn't take long for advertisers to usurp the signal, and you would get unwanted ads blasted at you when you least expect it. |
