After the first simple distillation of the alcoholic beverage,
heating it at 78C and cooling the resulting vapor, you get a
medium percentage of say 60-75% ethanol in water.
Put this liquid ethanol-water through electrolysis. (add salt
to the solution, so the electrolysis works) Only the water
will break down into hydrogen and oxygen, and you'll have
pure
salty ethanol with no water.
A second distillation (same 78C) will give you 100% ethanol,
and
retrieve the salt for reuse.
Same for methanol.

A correct choice of modulating mp3 will be crucial for the spirit wanted. |

This sounds brilliant. [+] |

But why would you get salt in your ethanol? Where is the salt coming from? |
|
|
Presumably added at the beginning to make the liquid more conductive? |
|
|
Salt for the electrolysis to work. edited the idea. |

You do realise that if you electrolyse a liquid containing salt and water you produce sodium hydroxide, right? |
|
|
You can apparently also electrolyse ethanol in the presence of water to get hydrogen (and carbon dioxide), which probably spoils what is left of your plan.
You'll need to find another use for your million litres of crap wine. |

Pump the co2 into greenhouses, burn the hydrogen to power something, it's more or less constructive. |

I second my original motion that crack team of 1/2hb members go and determine if the wine is ok, or not. |

Could take up to a month to get a consensus and/or a liver transplant <looks up how to say "youuur my beshtest ever pal, you are..hic" in several languages> |

There are some odd murmurings that indicate the terminals may get clogged up due to the complexity of volatiles. If gold was used then this may be ori'gins of the pan galactic gargle blaster. |

I'll settle for a Jinnan Tonnix. |
