A Small Threaded Hole   (+18, -6)  [vote for, against]
Optional extra for high tech hand-held equipment like mobile phones

A Small Threaded Hole is an optional extra which you can select when acquiring any new hand-held device. The hole is located at the balancing point of the equipment and is kept dust free by means of a neat little cap.

To make use of the hole, the owner of the equipment screws into place its complimentary telescopic handle. This converts the apparatus into a high-tech hammer, which can then be used to self destructively pound itself into a pile of smithereens, at an appropriate moment of dire frustration.

Polo-nut On the subject of threaded Polo Mints... [xenzag, Jul 17 2007]

Polego Polego
The mint with a whole load of other mints attached to it [marklar, Jul 17 2007]

Is your iStawberryDeseeder giving you trouble?

I like the thought of a small threaded hole (kinda makes me think polo mints) but your use for it has me baffled.
-- po, Jul 16 2007

This deserves two croissants !
-- batou, Jul 16 2007

You could provide this as a service. You would need to research a fairly large number of devices to know where you can drill a hole in each device, then bond a threaded bit to it.
-- marklar, Jul 16 2007

Given the purpose of the hole, you don't really need it, do you? You could simply nail that telescopic handle on.
-- DrCurry, Jul 16 2007

Maybe you should make a drawing for this, xenzag?
-- BJS, Jul 17 2007

DrCurry: But how would you pound in the nail, without a hammer? See? It's recursive, is what it is.
I really like po's idea of threaded polo mints, but have so far been unable to contrive a use for them.

//I really like po's idea of threaded polo mints, but have so far been unable to contrive a use for them//
To attach them more firmly to the tip of the tongue?
-- AbsintheWithoutLeave, Jul 17 2007

Jutta, You could start small and work your way up:

Take one threaded polo mint, to make a small and fragile hammer. Use it to nail something slightly bigger to make a bigger hammer. Iterate until you can nail that telescopic handle onto the electronic equipment of your choice. Hammer away. Post your learning process on a blog, for world-wide interest. By the time you get to your expensive piece of equipment, your anger may have dissipated enough for you to reconsider destroying an expensive piece of equipment when you could have sold it to some other sucker on eBay and bought a different, less annoying (or at least differently annoying) replacement.

Hang on, there's an idea forming, wait for it, AHA Polego, Polos which you can build stuff out of like 2x2 lego.

Now, if only there were different colours of polo or maybe some of a smaller size, hmm.
-- marklar, Jul 17 2007

marklar, I think you're onto something there... here it comes... almost there... yes... AHA, sweetccano! The threaded polos make the wheels and gears (with added teeth), together with a variety of specially crafted sweets allow children to create their very own edible edifice, consumable construction, or delicious device.
-- TheLightsAreOnBut, Jul 17 2007

//(with added teeth), //
Love the irony there.
-- AbsintheWithoutLeave, Jul 17 2007

I'm going to post a seperate idea about sweets you can build stuff with (linked) rather than polute this idea any further.

// AHA, sweetccano! // Meccandy, Shirley (despite the Americanism).

Now, back to the idea at hand, if destruction is your raison d'etre, you could put the undesired object inside a slinky and push it down the stairs.
