Ad-block Shades   (+3)  [vote for, against]
Pull down shades to block out advertising on the computer screen

These would be locking shades, four of them that extend from each side of the screen, to block out advertising. They would be physical shades that roll up just like regular window shades.

The name made me think the shades had the ads on them. Maybe rename like BlockOut Shades...

How would a physical screen filter advertisements? And why would I need this, when there are excellent software ad-blockers available?

[+] though "ghost spammers" was how I read the title.

Do computers still have adverts on them? I never knew.

//Do computers still have adverts on them? I never knew.// Me neither. At least, I haven't seen one since around the time I got Adblock Plus.

So, not made by Joo Janta.

You could make these much cheaper by printing ads on them.

I recently saw a photo (possibly on YouTube, but I forget...) of a piece of cardboard taped to the side of a monitor to do exactly this.
