Aerosol handle with laser designator   (+5)  [vote for, against]
Pssssst ....

When spraying insecticide from an aerosol can, accurately enveloping the target in a noxious cloud is highly satisfying.

However, aerosol nozzles differ in performance and accuracy.

BorgCo engineers have designed a clip-on plastic handle which will attach to a range of sizes of aerosol can. A trigger mechanism presses the valve when required. On the top of the handle is a laser diode in an aimable mounting. The handle contains the batteries.

Pulling the trigger to the first click activates the laser; press harder, and the spray is operated. The laser can be aimed using adjustment screws to centre in the spray pattern at any given range.

One shot, one kill ...

I like this because I am forever bombing my kitty with bug spray, when I see an evil spider. 'Cause he likes to sit and watch them, so then he gets caught in the spray. Yay, you must bring this to fruition.

// in an aimable mounting.

I read that as "an amiable mounting"...but it is 4am...

// I am forever bombing my kitty with bug spray //

Yay !

<cats are attracted by laser pointers>

<evil sniggering>

// evil spider. //

No such thing.

"Pavlov's Cat" that runs away from a laser pointer.

(which begs the existence of Schroedinger's Bird: you might not know if it's dead or alive, but that's because it flew out the window when you tried to put it in the box)

// Schroedinger //

Sp. "Schrödinger"

// you might not know if it's dead or alive //

It's dead. Definitely. Trust us on this.

back catalogishness, I thought powerpainter sprayers should have laser guides so people could spray superevenly, or just have a computer do it.

This idea is now fully Baked, as a one-off prototype, and functions extremely well.
